I'm having this problem with all fighter classes, the first soulshot just fail everytime.
About the distance, i think you should increase it, because the character reaches the target and takes too long to begin to attack, it is not about running after someone, or can not hit, it is about the delay to start the attack.
I appreciate if you are checking this issues.
